LASIK for the Gold's Katherine Reutter Leading USOC Poll

Olympic Short Track Speedskater Katherine Reutter had LASIK at EyeCare 20/20 back in March.  Since than she has been on a tear, accomplishing the following:

• US Women's National Short Track Champion
  
• #1 Seed for Women's US Short Track Olympic Team (Vancouver 2010)
  
• World Cup I, Beijing, China:  Gold in 100m, Silver in 300m relay, Bronze in 1500m

The US Olympic Communications (@USOC) is currently conducting Twtpoll to determine the USOC female athlete of the month.  Katherine is deservedly kicking butt.

LASIK for the Gold Makes Front Page of Daily Record!

Arielle Martin's LASIK Rocks!!

Arielle Martin was in the office last week, 1 day after having her LASIK at EyeCare 20/20.  Her vision is already 20/20 and she is looking forward to her next competition next month after her broken hand heals.

BMX Cyclist Arielle Martin Joins LASIK for the Gold!

Arielle Martin is the current UCI World Cup SX Champion and headed for the 2012 Olympic Games with her sights set on GOLD. Known for her exceptional jumping skills, aggressive moves, and pure passion for riding, Arielle is a name to be reckoned with in BMX.
Arielle has recently been featured in this month's Bicycling Magazine in an article titled:   Leap of Faith.  She was also featured in an excellent New York Times article last year:  Quest Seperates Soldier and Olympic Hopeful. 

Arielle stopped by EyeCare 20/20 this week on her way home from competing in South Africa to join Team EyeCare 20/20 and LASIK for the Gold.  In this video, Arielle discusses what it takes to be a World BMX Champion, and how LASIK will hopefully improve her future performances.

LASIK for the Gold's Kristi Leskinen Wins ABC's Superstar Competition

LASIK for the Gold member, Kristi Leskinen and teamate Maks Chmeroskiy ran away with this year's Superstar's competition on ABC.  Kristi made the trip to New Jersey in June to have her LASIK surgery.  She was kind enough to recently record her LASIK experience for a commercial on WDHA.  Here is a copy of her recording:

Olympian Dan Joye Enjoying His LASIK!

LASIK for the Gold member Dan Joye, of USA Luge, was in the office this week for his LASIK follow-up.  He said he is enjoying his new vision without contacts or glasses, and is looking forward to competing for the Gold in next year's winter games in Vancouver.

As a show of his appreciation, Dan presented me with the Luge suit that he wore during the 2006 Olympics in Torino!  The suit is being framed so that it can be hung in our office..

Dan also took some time to talk about his LASIK experience and his goals for the coming season.

Olympic Gold Medalist Chad Hedrick Discusses his LASIK Experience

Chad Hedrick, winner of a Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medal in speedskating at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino, had his LASIK surgery last week at EyeCare 20/20.  In this video testimonial, Chad discusses his LASIK experience, and his expectations for the upcoming 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.

Kristi Leskinen has LASIK at EyeCare 20/20

Kristi Leskinen, one of the top freestyle skiers in the world, made the trip to New Jersey to have her LASIK surgery at EyeCare 20/20 today.

According to Kristi's blog:

Kristi Leskinen is one of the world’s top freeskiers, constantly pushing the limits of the sport. As a headliner, Leskinen shoulders the responsibility of bringing freeskiing – women’s freeskiing in particular – out from under the shadow of more established action sports to receive the respect and exposure it deserves.

At her first US Open, Leskinen was the only woman doing the Big Air event and one of only a handful of participants in the women’s run on the pipe. In 2004, little
more than five years later, the US Open hosted the largest women’s superpipe contest in the world, with forty athletes vying for the championship.

Savvy enough to realize that videos reach a larger audience than any single competition, Kristi films all over the world. Each year she pushes her skills and creativity further, with the goal of laying down her best footage yet.
